The short version

Some links on this site may earn us a small commission if you buy something. It never costs you anything extra, and it never changes the prices we show you or the order products appear in.

How the numbers are produced

The prices on this site come from two places:

• RRP — the recommended retail price, collected by hand from UK retailer listings. We are not given these by The Pokémon Company, and some are still unconfirmed. Where we are not sure, we say so.
• eBay prices — pulled automatically once a day from the eBay UK marketplace. These are asking prices on listings that are currently for sale. They are not sold prices, and they are not what an item is "worth". A seller can ask any price they like.

We take the cheapest handful of listings that survive our filters and average them, so that one silly listing cannot swing the headline number. We filter out single cards, multi-item lots, pre-orders, empty and opened boxes, code cards, non-English products and suspiciously cheap listings that are likely to be fakes. The filtering is not perfect. If you spot a listing that should have been excluded, please tell us.

What we are not

SealedCheck is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or associated with The Pokémon Company International, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or eBay Inc. We use no official logos, card artwork or product photography. All trademarks belong to their owners.

Trading cards are not an investment product. Prices can fall as easily as they rise. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Please make your own decisions.

Getting it wrong

We may make mistakes. Prices change between our daily update and the moment you look. Always check the actual price on the retailer's or seller's own page before you pay. If you find an error, email hello@sealedcheck.co.uk and we will fix it.
